Beyond The Shore
Bells of Jingling
A mace covered in jingling brass bells.
This strange weapon consists of a metal-reinforced wooden club, covered with thirteen bronze bells, four to a side and one at the tip. The bells emit a constant, pleasing jingling sound, reminiscent of sleigh-bells when the weapon is held, as even the slightest vibration or gesture causes them to start chiming.
The Bells of Jingling can be wielded in combat as a masterwork light mace, and is treated as a magical weapon for determining what creatures can be harmed by it. In addition, as a standard action, a user with the Bardic Perfomance ability can expend 1 round of bardic performance to emit a ringing blast of sonic energy from the bells. All creatures within a 10-ft. cone take 1d4+1 points of sonic damage and must make a Willpower save (DC 13). Creatures that fail their Will save can’t help but break into song on their next turn, using their Action to sing and dance in a festive manner. Such creatures can take no other actions besides signing and dancing, but may use any ability (such as bardic performance) that can be triggered by such.
